Desirée Gonzalez
Desirée Gonzalez, M.A. has a Master's degree in Depth Psychology with a specialization in Community, Liberation, Indigenous, and Eco psychologies and a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism. Her work focuses on creating restorative environments building upon her research she conducted with a group of justice-involved women at a county jail where she explored if it was possible to create such an environment within conditions of imprisonment. This work was later expanded outside of the criminal justice system and into the design sector. She is currently a fellow at the Centre for Conscious Design, a contributing writer for Trulery.com (a Design Psychology and fashion psychology site) where she explored Can Design Challenge Historical Narratives? How One Architect Has Reshaped the Spanish-Colonial Style, and her Restorative Container framework (based on restorative justice practices and elements) has been featured in Non Profit Quarterly's magazine - How Interior Design Can Improve Health Justice.
